Our beeswax forward formula is firmer but leads to a longer lasting protection.

Real mint, not candy mint

Our mint is Oregon peppermint essential oil, steam distilled from the leaves. It smells green and herbal rather than sweet, with a light cooling feel.

Coats rather than glosses

Without synthetic glides, the finish is matte and protective instead of shiny. It stays put longer and does not need constant reapplication.

A little goes a long way

Our generous beeswax content means the balm stays put longer, so most people find they reapply less often than with a thinner balm.

Supporting Urban Bees & Their Keepers From their own hives

In 2011, Brad’s beekeeping hobby met his wife Anika’s search for a lip balm that actually worked. They took beeswax from their hives and made one.

Still made by hand

Today our small team in NE Portland still pours every batch of lip balm by hand. Independently owned since 2011.

What’s actually in it?

Four ingredients: Pacific Northwest beeswax, organic California extra virgin olive oil, organic cold pressed virgin coconut oil, and Oregon peppermint essential oil. Nothing else.

What does it smell like?

Oregon peppermint essential oil, steam distilled from peppermint leaves. It is a green, herbal mint rather than a sweet candy mint, with a light cooling feel on the lips.

Why does it feel firmer than other lip balms?

We use a higher concentration of beeswax than other brands. The first pass on lips feels firmer, and then it glides easily. Less frequent application is needed because of our generous beeswax component.

Does it contain gluten or common allergens?

No. Our manufacturing process is completely gluten-free, and our facility and products are free of peanuts, tree nuts, shellfish, and dairy. Our oil distributor is free of these allergens as well.

Where is it made and where does the beeswax come from?

We’ve been making lip balm by hand in Portland, Oregon since 2011. The beeswax comes from hives in the Pacific Northwest. A best-by date is printed on the bottom of every tube.
